Composition: Interdisciplinary Virtual Performance

In this interdisciplinary composition class, we’ll improvise, experiment and create performance work that merges the languages of choreography, visual art, video, and sound through technology. Using the Zoom platform as our canvas to develop new ideas and aesthetic dialogues, we’ll research the emotional and expressive potential of media to connect our humanity in digital space.

In this workshop guided by Lavista, Hardwig and Matthias, six collaborative teams of participants will create six unique short studies for virtual performance, using experimental methods developed in the creation of digital performance works like ENGRAM 4 (anatomy zero & Delfos Danza Contemporanea), Telempatías (Delfos Danza Contemporanea), and Mar Afuera (National Dance Company of Mexico).
