About Ginny

Virginia Cook relocated to Chicago from rural Alabama in 2007, and hasn’t looked back. After graduating from Columbia College Chicago with a BFA in Dance Performance, she entered the world of event production and freelance performance. Through positions at the Chicago Reader, Thalia Hall and Land and Sea Dept, she got to know the fabric of the Chicago performance scene through supporting in production and booking. Virginia is also a 13 year veteran of the annual summer performance institution, The Fly Honey Show. Virginia is excited to join Bates Dance Festival for the 2024 season.
