About Junichi

Japanese native Junichi Fukuda has been an instrumental dancer for such companies as Ballet Tech/NY, Oakland Ballet, Smuin Ballet/SF, Lar Lubovitch Dance Company, the New York Baroque Dance Company, Buglisi Dance Theatre, Peridance Contemporary Dance Company, and City Ballet of Boston. He is a recipient of the S&R Washington Award for his outstanding performance. New York Post mentions his performance as “brilliant, particularly the seemingly improvisatory.” 

Choreographically, he received support from Mass Cultural Council, Boston Foundation, Boston Cultural Council, Bates Dance Festival, Boston Dance Alliance, and New England Foundation for the Arts. His choreography has been presented at MASDANZA in Spain, Dance St. Louis’ Spring to Dance Festival, DanceNow at Joe’s Pub Festival, Bates Dance Festival, FIDCDMX in Mexico City, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, University of New Hampshire, and the festivals in New England region.
