Bates Quad
The Bates Quadrangle, or "Quad," is a lush open area with majestic trees surrounded by many historic campus buildings.

Florence Keigwin Amphitheater, overlooking Lake Andrews near the Olin Arts Center, is a popular site for outdoor contemplation and performances.

Schaeffer Theatre, an intimate 300-seat proscenium theater and home to most of the Festival's main stage performances.

Olin Arts Center houses the College Museum of Art and a 300-seat concert hall, as well as classrooms, offices, art studios and practice rooms for musicians.

The Chapel, built 1914, it was modeled after the chapel of King's College at Cambridge University.

Mount David, a tall rock outcropping on the edge of campus. A five-minute hike from the center of campus, the wooded hill offers beautiful views of Lewiston and the surrounding countryside.
Plavin studio
Plavin Studio, our newest studio completed in 2004, features a state of the arts sprung floor and doubles as an one of our informal performance spaces.

Chase Hall houses the Dance Festival office, two beautiful studios, post office, a snack bar and the College store.

Gray Cage is Bates' second-largest indoor athletic facility and houses one of the Festival's largest studios.

NEW Dining Common, is a 60,000-square-foot facility, now under construction, that will be open for summer 2008.  It features a marketplace dining experience with award-winning food, balcony seating, a fireplace lounge, and several meeting rooms.

Frye St. Union, a classic Victorian home, provides housing for Festival faculty.

Rand Hall is home to our Young Dancers Workshop. Each floor has a lounge and a kitchenette.

Parker Hall is home to the Three Week Professional program. Nestled by the Quad it has a large, central lounge and kitchenette.

Small House is one of several Victorian houses that are home to our adult students.
