Work-in-progress showing of Aroundtown.
The much lauded David Dorfman Dance returns with his latest work, Aroundtown, a kinetic poem exploring the varied, unique and sometimes divided notions of love. Aroundtown, uses original music performed by a live band, along with text and a fanciful set design, that explores commitment, community, and intimacy in times of violence and strife. In this work Dorfman’s trademark empathy, sly humor, and bombastic physicality are harnessed to examine love through a sociopolitical lens. Come along for a raucous, joyful and sometimes tender ride through Dorfman’s sonically charged landscape of love! (Contains strong language.)
A talkback with the artists follows both concerts.
