Sara Juli is the Founder/Director of Surala Consulting, a fundraising consultancy specializing in strategic fundraising solutions. Sara uses over 18 years of a proven track record in fundraising to assist non-profit organizations and individual artists on the multiple avenues of fundraising including strategic planning, individual giving, grant-writing, donor cultivation, special events, Board of Directors training and more. Sara is a sought after teacher and guest lecturer and has been invited to teach at Bates College, Bates Dance Festival, American Dance Festival, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Gibney Dance Center, Movement Research, The Field, Dance Theater Workshop, The Laundromat Project, The Dance Complex, Harlem Arts Alliance, New York Live Arts, Brooklyn Arts Exchange, among others. Sara has also been creating and performing innovative performance work since 2000.  She has been fortunate to tour around the country and world performing her work in venues such as American Dance Festival, Bates Dance Festival, Performance Space 122 (NYC), New York Live Arts, Dance Complex (Boston), Napa Valley Opera House, Artown Reno, 3S Artspace (Portsmouth), SPACE Gallery, TEDxdirigo and many more. Internationally she has performed in The Netherlands, Australia, New Zealand, London, Russia and at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland. Sara is the 2017 Maine Fellow for the Performing Arts awarded by the Maine Arts Commission and has also received New England Foundation for the Arts’ National Dance Project Touring grant for which she is touring her solo, Tense Vagina: an actual diagnosis to ten cities in 2018.
